PORTRAITS Hellerau Photography Award

8. April 2022 bis 12. Juni 2022

On April 7, 2022, at 7 p.m. (Berlin time), the annual exhibition of the PORTRAITS – Hellerau Photography Awards will open, featuring works from all 29 finalists. The exhibition is being held for the third time in the Technical Collections in Dresden – a venerable museum in the center of the Saxon state capital, which also houses the collection of the municipal Museum for Photography.

Like last year, the exhibition will run through the entire house: starting in the large temporary exhibition room, through the former offices of the Heinrich Ernemann AG and the historic foyer to the permanent exhibitions on different floors of the house, where the permanent exhibitions are presented at the same time. The prize winners will also be announced on the evening of the vernissage. We plan to stream the awards online on this website.

A day later, on April 8, 2022, the solo exhibition of the 2022 residency prize winner will open in Hellerau. A series of public events will round off the 2022 competition program during the exhibitions.
